Stockholm, 4th February 2010 - Police raided locations across Sweden on Tuesday, arresting four individuals accused of infringing copyright law by operating Direct Connect (DC) hubs. Officers suspect the hubs were used to allow users access to hundreds of thousands of copyright infringing music files. The raids took place in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Kramfors, with police confiscating the computers that allegedly hosted the DC hubs. Two of the four individuals have reportedly admitted the charges and the other two have denied breaking the law, but admitted involvement with administering the hubs. |
