The Italian fiscal police (GdF) have carried out an operation to close an unlicensed web radio company. Officers from the Corsico district, in partnership with local anti-piracy group FPM, targeted the station which provided in-house music to some of the top hotels in and around Milan without a licence from record companies in a breach of neighbouring rights. The owner has been charged with copyright infringement. During the raid, GdF officers seized servers containing thousands of infringing music files. The fiscal police also levied heavy administrative sanctions against the 14 hotels that were using the service. |
